When do industrial sites need portable restrooms?

Industrial sites need portable restrooms during plant shutdowns and turnarounds, warehouse fit-outs, peak-season staffing, loading-dock expansions, pipeline and utility work, and any time building restrooms are closed for repair. Contractors on site often need their own units separate from plant staff.

How many units does a shutdown crew need?

Contractor and construction crews on a shutdown follow OSHA Table D-1: 1 toilet seat and 1 urinal per 40 workers for 20 or more. Plant and warehouse staff fall under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.141 instead. Our recommendation is 1 standard unit per 10 workers per shift with twice-weekly service when crews work 10 to 12 hour days.

What service plans work for plants?

Plants usually choose weekly service for small contractor crews and twice-weekly service for shutdown crews over 50. Service runs on a set weekday, and the tech checks in at the gate. Units inside the fence need a badge or escort plan we arrange with your safety team.

Can industrial accounts be invoiced?

Industrial and contractor accounts can keep a card on file and get a separate invoice per site or PO number. Call the yard to set up the account before a shutdown.

Industrial restroom questions

Can you deliver inside a secured plant?

Drivers can enter with an escort or badge. Send the gate procedure and safety rules before delivery.

Do you offer twice-weekly or three-times-weekly service?

Twice-weekly service is standard for big crews. Three visits a week can be quoted for 24-hour operations.

Can you supply hand wash stations for crews handling chemicals?

OSHA requires washing facilities where workers handle harmful materials (1926.51(f) for construction, 1910.141 for general industry). Plan 1 station per 3 toilets on work sites.

Do you have towable units?

Towable unit trailers let crews move toilets between work areas. Ask about stock when you call.

Can units be cleaned off-shift?

Service can run early morning when the route allows. Tell us your shift change times.

Do you provide spill trays or containment?

Containment trays can be added for sites that require them. Mention it on the quote request.
