Porta Potty 28-Day Billing, Explained
Long-term porta potty rentals bill every 28 days because service runs weekly, and 28 days is exactly four service weeks. The price is the same whether the unit stays 1 day or 28. Call before a cycle ends, or the rental renews.

Why 28 days and not a calendar month?
Porta potty rentals bill every 28 days because jobsite units are serviced once a week, and 4 weeks equals 28 days. Every cycle then has exactly 4 service visits. A calendar month would have 4 visits in February and sometimes 5 in other months, which makes pricing uneven.
The result is 13 billing cycles in a year instead of 12. That surprises people who budget by the month, so plan your project budget in 28-day blocks.
How much does each cycle cost?
A standard jobsite unit from Alan Rental Works starts at $199 per 28-day cycle, with weekly service included. The first cycle also carries a one-time $75 delivery and pickup fee for Lehigh Valley addresses. Cycle 2 onward is $199, plus 6% PA sales tax.
| Rental length | Cycles | Total before tax |
|---|---|---|
| 10 days | 1 | $274 |
| 28 days | 1 | $274 |
| 30 days | 2 | $473 |
| 90 days | 4 | $871 |
How do I avoid paying for an extra cycle?
Call for pickup at least one business day before the cycle ends. A unit picked up on day 27 costs one cycle. A unit picked up on day 30 costs two. Mark the cycle end date on your calendar the day the unit arrives, and set a reminder 3 days earlier.
When is a weekly rate cheaper?
A weekly rate is cheaper for jobs of 4 to 7 days, such as a short bathroom remodel or a roof tear-off. A weekly standard unit starts at $249 with delivery, pickup and one service included. For anything longer than a week, the 28-day cycle usually costs less.

There's no contract. The rental renews each cycle until you call.
Do I get charged again for delivery in cycle 2?
Delivery and pickup are charged once, on the first cycle.
